I think it comes down to the fact that many cis people don’t see us as legit. But, I think there is always a disconnect between the concept and the one on one personal experience. People always seem more capable of empathy with a person they know/meet.

I’m not sure what you mean by “ettiquete.” I personally am irreverent, but femme. But I like super queer people, so this works for me. Each to their own. If it works for you and your happy, then awesome ☺

I agree with you, I also don’t think anyone owes anyone sex. My point in this was to point out that the numbers suggest that this type of reaction points to a larger phenomena, beyond mere personal preferences. But yeah, it would be interesting to alter the study parameters. I am sure more of these types of studies will come out.
